Studio Fable was built on a simple, uncompromising premise: dance belongs to everyone. Not just the prodigies. Not just those who started at age three.
We started in a small converted warehouse in Greenpoint with a boombox and a vision. Today we are Brooklyn’s destination for both elite technical training and accessible, joyful adult movement.

Before You Start.
Do I need any experience to start?
None at all. Our Adult Beginner classes and youth entry levels are built for true first-timers, and your very first class is free. If you have never danced a step in your life, that is exactly who those classes are for.
How does the free first class work?
Pick any beginner-appropriate class on the schedule and book a free trial. You come in, take the full class, and decide afterward whether to enroll for the term or drop in. There is no obligation and no card required to try.
What should my child wear to their first class?
For ballet, a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes; for hip hop, comfortable clothes and clean sneakers; for contemporary, fitted layers and bare feet. When in doubt, anything they can move in is fine for a first class, we will point you to the specifics after you enroll.
How is enrolment structured, terms or drop-in?
Youth classes run on Fall, Spring, and Summer terms so dancers progress together toward the seasonal showcase. Adult classes offer both term enrolment and single drop-in passes, so you can commit to a schedule or come when it fits your week.
